Blessing the World

Subject : Making the World A better place

Hi Friends,

Yesterday you may have received the email which I wrote that everyone's dream could simply be summarised as making the world a better place.

As I have written, sometimes the best way to teach without causing chaos is to teach by example. Which probably means only those around you will learn from you, but that is in most cases, good enough.

If you have been reading my emails you would realise that our thoughts are made up of energy. We are, if you break us down small enough, energy too. Therefore, our thoughts actually influence reality. Every thought that you think, actually is being sent out and affects every single person.

That places the importance of thinking good thoughts, and the power of blessing others. Blessings, and Curses are generally under Magick, the manipulation of energy, which we do all the time. It is up to us whether we want to bless or curse.

I have come across a website by Kate Nowak, who had the idea of getting everyone to bless the world around them all the time. Truly, if everyone think only positive thoughts, the world would be healed, and a much better place.

You may want to try it. For one day, try to filter out all Negative Thoughts. Take it like a game. Tell yourself that you only want 1 day to try it out, and if you don't like thinking positive and blessing others, you can choose not to do so for the rest of your life.

Visit: http://www.mayyoubeblessedmovie.com/

Please give it a try. Also you may want to read up on the Art of Blessing by Pierre Pradervand at:

Your Life will definitely be improved in one way or another, so please, give it a try :)

Blessings and Love,
Aaron

Persecution

Dear Friends,

I have got a taste of the persecution we will face if we continue on.
Whenever a new idea is raised and someone is trying to bring humanity to a
new level, people are so comfortable in their comfort zones that they delude
themselves and persecute those.

When Jesus tries to raise the Jews to a New Level, telling them that the
Truth wasn't just about the Laws Moses had set but rather was governed by
love, they persecuted him and eventually killed him. When Confuscius tried
to restore peace by telling the government how they should rule with Honor,
they did not listen and persecuted him and he was forced to teach in Private
and go to another country.

When Wallace D. Wattles, a man ahead of his time tried to tell others about
the True Jesus, he was persecuted and discriminated and lost his place in
the Church. Books on similar topics were banned by the Church. I read an
article about a Man today who was persecuted and now is suing his Pastors
[who had been defaming him] just because he didn't like the King James
Version of the Bible, which the Church used.

Now America has reached a New Level, with some people accepting and with
strong resistence from the Church from some, trying to make schools stop
teaching the 'Theory' of Evolution and instead Creationism, which is why
Evolution is still a Theory.

Christians, Muslims and Jews are among the most adament about their
religion, each claiming that their's is the way to God. Even when we say the
pledge, regardless of race, language or religion, they do not practise it.
Naturally, to them I am a Heretic Leader and extreme Christians want to stop
me from spreading these ideas and are thinking of dragging me to church.

When Jesus was persecuted he was often mocked and asked for a miracle, for
eg. by King Herod. But of course he would not give one (who would show one
just to prove he is right when he knows that he is right?) I was often asked
to do the same, because I understand that talk is useless.

Naturally Jesus could have finished them off if he wanted to and I am very
tempted to do the same. However, even if I manage to incapicitate one of
them, there will be too many to do the same. Instead we will use our
energies for the Greater Good, and hopefully I am going to announce that we
are going to perform a so called 'miracle' soon. It is only a miracle to
those who do not understand how to do it, but I am still waiting for a
response from Dr. Prem.

Christians ask for my theories to try to find loopholes in it, a Scientist
point of view. Scientists are always trying to prove a theory false, while
We, Magicians are the opposite. Magicians try to prove a theory true.

I am not saying all Christians are bad, there are some very tolerant and
nice ones :)

But still, I am waiting for the right time...When I will announce more.

Art Class & Manifestation

Hi Friends,

Art class is always a trying time for me (because people keep borrowing from me). But from there I learn many lessons about manifesting.

1) Some people are able to borrow from me. Why? Because they ASK SPECIFICALLY. Which colour they want, for example. Similarly, when we are manifesting, it is important to be specific. For eg. I read about a girl who wanted to use Chaos Magick to bring a boyfriend into her life. But then she forgot to mention intelligence and ended up with a bore.

2) Be nice. Some people I do not lend to, because they are very demanding and fierce. When you are manifesting, you should be nice to the universe. Stop demanding, let it go. Let your desire go. It will come to you. ( after you have properly visualised, of course :)

3) Go take it. Some people expect to be served. They do not bother to come forward to take the colouring materials that they need. They expect it to be delivered to them. The door is open for you, just walk thru it.

4) Be open. Sometimes you may be too closed in thinking that you must get money thru a lottery. It may come in other ways, like a bonus in your salary, a lucky draw, etc. Don't just ask from me, the teacher also gives out other colouring materials.

5) Built a rapport (good relationship). When you are getting your supply, you may need to use techniques like hypnosis or meditation to get close to the Universal Source and your Subconscious mind. Its like building a relationship. For eg. my ex-secretary took a whole bunch of colour pencils (most of them anyway) and I couldn't complain. Cos I owned her a lot of favours anyway.

6) Give back. After you have taken colour pencils for eg, help to give back in a way. Egs. are to help sharpen the pencils, and be grateful. Say thank you. Similarly, when you get your salary, set some aside for the poor. Or, just give some time to volunteer.

Chaos Magick

Just in case you think that I am going mad calling myself a Chaos Magician...Read what chaos magick really is.

An Extract of An Email
Written by Sudeep Goyal
Edited by Aaron Chia

I am not sure how much I can tell you about Chaos magic. But, there are few points I would like to put across:

1. It is a special kind of visualization.

2. Idea is to by-pass the consious mind somehow. And therefore, you create sigil or magical words or magical servitors that are 'symbols' to some reality that you want to create or see. This can help you see something in your mind's eye and keep it in mind and help you put your focus on.
You can be as much creattve as possible. You can create all sorts of different symbols, designs as you can. And only your imagination limits that.
I used to imagine a glass of water in my mind and see the water level as defining the level of something that i desired. Sometimes, I simply imagined plucking a flower from my garden of life and throwing it in the river that took it away from me into some remote area to remove something from my life. These are also magical symbols or magical sigils.

3. Banishing is most important. I have learnt this hard. Often when you want something in life, you become obsessed with it. And therefore, even after you have done a ritual around it, you would want to ponder about it, think about. And more you desire, more you are likely to suffer from this disease. And therefore, it always an important discipline to banish, to forget. Forgetting is a very very important art and discipline. Youe ability to forget what you desire most marks your ability to manifest. Often we fail, because we cannot forget. Forgetfulness gives your projected energy and projected thought the ability to become your part organically and simply bypass your conscious mind. If you donot forget it, you are consious of it. And more you are conscious of it, more you are likely to interfere.
Cycling, swiming, walking just happen. You donot have to be concsious of it. Think about how you do it. It just happens. Similarly, it is with magical thought. And therefore, it is very important to banish after you have done some visualization (or ritual).

4. Remember, the realization that 'you can know without thought' has been a profound realization to me. You can be thoughtless and still know. Rather it is thought that stops us from knowing the universe and knowing the higher and unconcious self. It is possible to be void and thoughtless in the day to day life and still be alert and expert in your domain. What do i mean by thoughtless? I mean that you donot identify with thoughts. You simply watch it coming and going. They are different from YOU. They are not YOU. It is not possible to stop the movement of thought (as long as you are alive). But, it is certainly possible to become disidentified with it.

5. Sometimes, it makes lot of sense to have lot of Gods and Goddesses. To live in their world and connect to them. That is what a magic is all about. World where gods and goddesses are all real. And this is why Hinduism is so rich. Sometimes, I have this strong feeling that hindus of the ancient past were very much into what we call magic and therefore, they personified everything. You can thousands and thousands of Gods, Demons and Goddesses. And this rich vocablary can help you connect and play life in a much larger field. I am not sure if you have heard of Hindu Goddess, Kali. But look at her picture if you get the chance to. And you would surprised to see that she looks dangerous and terrible. And still she is worshipped as mother and goddess. The reason is that she is a mother who cannot stand her child like you and me in a terrible and suffering state. Other gods may be gentle. But, she is not. She would come running to you and would destroy everything that would come her way in transforming you and blessing you. She'll drink all your bad blood to purify you. She would cut all the ego daemons (neclace of heads around her) and karmic hands (skirt of hands around her).
And to be able to connect to a rich goddess like this one has made you rich already. To be able to use what others have worked upon (in terms of Gods, Goddesses and Demons) is what magic is all about irrespective of the narrow definitions of religion like hinduism, islamism and christanity. But, see it more as a human experiment and connection of a human to divine.

6. Most importantly, magic is not something you have to sit and do some strange ritual or visualization always. Your every thought at any moment that is coming in your mind is magical. And to become aware of your every moment is magic. To know and to be able to change your thought at will at any moment in time like changing the switch of light is magic. Your ability to be aware is what magic is all about. And this is what it becomes eventually after all efforts . Why? Higher Self is what is the source of every desire and like an ocean everything. And more you are connected to it every moment is defining your life. Every thought therefore is being projected into the vast universe of Higher Self and therefore, is influencing everything. Visualization and magic helps in changing what we call 'Assemblage point'. Meaning a point of perception. To become aware that the point of perception can be changed is magic. And to know that we are neither of this point is everything.

7. Another core idea behind magic is 'identification of ego'. If you think about somebody or something too often, you tend to aquire that nature. You begin to become like that. If you think about God, you become like him. It also depend on how you see him and connect to him. It is possible to see God as mother or a child or even as a wife and then you can relate accordingly, and you would get the response as you see him. If you see your god as child then you would find him reacting to you as a child :) Lots of indian sages in the past have related to god in number of imaginative ways (mother, father, wife, husband, son etc etc). Identification also mean that if you wish to know something or somebody in time and space, you need to identify with it. How do you do that? By dropping your current ego. By thinking about it continously (in trance or ever consiously all the time, if that is somebody you love like money or god or lover or your work). And when you think about it, you remove all other thoughts except that. And this lead to transcending that thought or object of meditation. Meaning suddenly you begin to feel one with it. There may be thoughts or no thought. But you know you are one with it. And once, you are one with it, you know it SUBJECTIVELY. Then you can convert that subjective knowledge into verbal and object knowledge. But, subjective knowledge of identification and feeling of oneness with the goad or traget is errless. Trying to become more objective may make it error prone.

[Aaron: I see Jesus and Buddha as older brothers, and they often tell me what to do in tough situations :]

I have tried to summarize above how I see magic. If you have any particular queries on above or sigilization or anything, let me know. I would like to put your attention to specially 'thought' and 'mind'. Something that we take for granted so often and is not. If you ever get the opportunity to read 'Jiddu Krishnamurthy' in life, do read it please.

An appreciation email

Subject : True People... I just want to thank you.

Hi Friends :)

I have always been trying to find out what made me like my 1E friends so much more than my 2E ones. I guess it all boils down to two things I find very important, Respect and Kind Words.

My 1E friends respect me a lot :) And I can get away with doing irritating things to them (and btw, sorry Terence for stealing your water bottle). They respect me as a leader, and I Love them a lot too. They listen to instructions most of the time, and they don't irritate me.

We are able to work together well as a team. We do not put each other down, especially when one has slipped up. Compare this with the people from 2E. If I do not know a Japanese word, they might say, 'I thought your Jap very good one'. Sacarsm, even when they may be joking, I do not appreciate. Its what makes people so afraid to be different, or stick to the rules of the group. Or they try not to look stupid or out of place. In the end, they always look more stupid than ever.

We do not have a different no. of friends, both the 2e boys and the 1e boys. But, the quality of life is very much different. The 2e people study so much, sleep so late. But will they really be successful in life? That remains a question. However, the 1e boys generally sleep early, or they spend their time playing. Like I spend my time reading and writing. If we sleep late, we sleep late because we do things we enjoy. I love reading about (Chaos) Magick, Astral Planes, Psychics, HoloCreation etc. and writing about it. I don't mind sleeping late. Cos I enjoy doing these things.

I consider living a generally comfortable life and being able to do what you want a Success in Life. Not having riches. What do you think?

I am planning on starting an internet company. I am confident of being able to reach my goal of earning $80, 000 a month (of course it will have to be shared with the rest). If I hire people, I am not looking for those boys in 2e. Hey, they may have higher qualifications, but I trust my 1e friends a lot. I know their strength and weaknesses. They wouldn't work for their salary, they work for the company (of course the standard of work would be another thing :)

Only one word can describe them. True.

Not shallow, self -centred people.

They did not meet me by chance, its a meeting arranged by God, the Universe Mind. Its a result of Karma. Everything in your life is a result of your thoughts and actions, which generate Karma.

When I am with them, I give and teach to the best of my knowledge. I do my best, to ensure that they advance in the right path of life. I do not help those in 2E so readily though. Whenever I am in 2E, I feel like a fish out of water. I am a totally different person when I am with my friends.

Perhaps this saying summarises it best. (I read it in the library today)

" I LOVE you NOT because of who you are, but because of WHO I AM when I am with you"

Love,
Aaron

An old part of Life

From : Aaron Chia

Subject : climbing trees and being chased by dogs

Dear Friends,

I had a very enjoyable afternoon with my dad and my brother. We were at the playground opposite my house (those of you who have been will know).

My dad tried to get me to climb a tree and finally we found one low enough. And after getting my shirt stained by algae and bark, we got up the tree...And it was very tiring (after many attempts but my gu zhang can do so with ease, and he's in his late 60s...he can even climb straight trees!)

We were not in the tree for long when 2 dogs appeared. They weren't strays because they had collars. We think they escaped because there wasn't anyone chasing them and there was a lot of barking a few minutes before. So my brother and I went to follow them.

We followed them all the way back, and then we stopped in front of a house. When we started back, they were following us. So I thought it was ok to bring these two dogs back, but halfway they started barking.

Now I had a split second decision to make. Do I run, or stay? I chose the former (partly because I had my younger brother with me and also because I heard about Zong Qin being bitten by a dog last time) Though they didn't seem to want to attack us, but because I am not so sure of my dog-mind reading powers, I decided to play it safe and run.

So I shouted to my bro and we both ran. Being chased by two medium sized pet dogs behind us. I tried to confuse the dogs (or is it just to save myself?) by turning left up the slope, but in the end they chased my bro as he followed me up the slope. When we ran to the road, the dogs stopped but continued barking. A few people were watching and my bro and I couldn't stop laughing.

Anyway after that we played a while longer before returning...

Here comes the moral...If we were living in the previous generation, climbing trees and being chased by dogs would be rather common. However, the society we live in is so different. When our parents were in secondary school, I doubt they had a computer like us...Colour TV then would be rather new!

They had much less homework. They could spend their time reading, joining the nature society and hugging trees, catching animals etc. They didn't need to go home so late. They didn't need to sleep so late. How different we are from them! I would feel uneasy if I cannot use the internet. We sleep so late, that many of us can fall asleep in school in a matter of minutes if we are allowed to. We spend so much time revolving around school, technology (computers, watching tv, movies) shopping?, that we hardly do anything else.

I'm glad sometimes during weekends I cycle, go and catch fish in a stream in the jungle (and fall into a smelly river with my bike, swallow some water and wash in a clean stream later), go take wild flowers and plants from a canal near the expressway, take fruit from wayside trees etc. In fact, I also saw from the MRT station a boy and his dad cycling in another canal, much like my dad and I.

But a lot of these rivers and streams are not really 'natural', the concrete which they flow on is also built by Man...

Actually, doing all these things can help form bonds with your family. Its very fun too :) One day, I think I will arrange for my friends to go and wade in the stream and catch fishes...in the forest not too far away from my house :)

Happiness

Subject : happiness is a choice

Dear Friends,

Many people feel that happiness is out of their reach. They go around the whole day feeling down, dejected, having mood swings and have no idea how to stay focused on one mood.

Sure, we will all get a little negative sometimes, thats totally fine. However, one thing you must know, is that, Happiness is a Choice.

You can either choose to feel happy and go around more focused and lively, or choose to let your emotions run wild.

Once you recognise that feelings are a choice, you can choose whatever feelings you want.

See your mind as a seperate entity from your feelings. Negative feelings originate from the brain, which is the part of your physical body. Your spirit can only Love and from Love, comes all other positive emotions. So choose one from the spirit, instead of from the body.

Aaron

P.S It will take some time to practise controlling your emotions, but its worth it :)

I apologise for the short posts, but I'm working on a big project now :)

Zen

From : Aaron Chia
Sent : Thursday, August 17, 2006 8:04 PM
Subject : Meaning of Zen

Dear Friends,

I hoped that you have read your short email yesterday, on how you can change your past (by choosing how you view your memories, as the past does not exist, it is all thoughts and memories) and change your future by working on the present. This is one of the greatest secrets of life.

I haven't been practising Zen lately. I might have slipped up during my library duties today (I might have allowed someone to take the wrong EZ-Link card without him showing identification). I remember a story about a Zen student studying under a Zen Master. The student thought that he had learned everything about Zen, but then the master asked him, 'did you put your umbrella to the left of your shoes or the right of your shoes before you came in?' And the student could not answer.

The meaning of Zen, is basically to live life. Fully and focusing on the moment. For example, the secret of Zen is to eat when you are hungry and sleep when you are tired. Many people, when they eat they eat for the sake of eating, and they don't sleep when they are tired. They are full of cares and worries when they sleep, and in the end, even 10 hours may not be enough.

If you truly focus on what you are doing, you really have nothing to worry about. The secret of memory is focus and attention. If you really pay attention to even the smallest details of life, you will remember everything clearly even if it is 2 weeks ago! That is how people can memorise the bible.

But alas, we have too many thoughts. We can eat and watch tv and think about our homework at the same time.

Talk about our quality of life today!

The Struggle of the Ants

From : Aaron Chia
Sent : Monday, August 14, 2006 7:44 PM
Subject : The Struggle of the Ants--Do read it please...

Dear Friends,

Today I found the answer to a question that I wanted to know very much, "What happens to the ants when it rains?"

I was standing outside the classroom during the maths period. I looked on the ground and I realised that raindrops had started to fall. Then I also saw a few ants being exposed to the rain.

As each second passed the rain was getting heavier and heavier. The ants felt it and immediately headed back to the sheltered corridor. I was particularly fascinated by one ant, who moved slower than the others.

Though the raindrops kept falling and hitting it off course, it still pushed on towards the corridor. Everytime it was hit, the ant moved around it, only to be hit by another raindrop. The ground was getting wetter and wetter and it was getting harder for the ant to move (imagine yourself wading waist high in water)

Finally, when it was quite close to the corridor, I could not resist helping it by using my bag to shelter it all the way. Of course, it still had to struggle as the ground was very wet then. But, it finally made it. When I looked up and looked down later, all the ants had disappeared, probably went back into their nest.

That got me thinking.

We should make the most of our time when we are young (less raindrops and water), and we can go faster. Later in life the raindrops will fall more frequently. When we are bombarded by a problem (raindrop), we should maybe not try to wade through it, but move around it instead. Take another path. And keep going. If you stop, you will drown. The momentum is important, so keeping going. It might get harder and harder (heavy raindrops and lots of water).

Once you reach the last part of your life, God will protect you from the raindrops, and though now you will still be burdened with age (like the ant having to wade through the water), when you return to your nest, it will be finally free from both raindrops, and the water.

Money

Hello Friends,

We have heard many many things about money. Some say the love of money is evil, others want money a lot. In fact, if you think about it, maybe you are planning your future about earning lots of cash?

I mentioned in previous emails that we should know what we want. Money is a medium of which we use to achieve our goals. If you question yourself why do you want money, maybe then you will find your goals. For eg., I can ask myself why I want money, is it to start a charity, or to travel around the world? Then these are my goals, not earning money.

The rich and the upper class have a definite advantage. They are exposed to many things, and learn a lot. However, do not be disheartened, because its only because of the troubles that many poor people become rich and wealthy. When I mean 'rich' or 'wealthy' I mean abundance in what they desire, not having a lot of money.

Actually money does bring many troubles. How many families we read about in the newspaper are fighting for their inheritance? Don't think that it can't happen to you. When it comes to money and greed and selfishness, it can happen to anyone and everyone. Inheritance can never be divided equally. Therefore, if this happens next time, I urge you to rather give in and let your siblings get a little more than to quarrel.

Once last year, my brother and I quarrelled about money. And it wasn't about real money even! I wouldn't go into details, but it was one of the fiercest quarrels I had with him. We are usually very close. Or if your parents or grandparents left a house, and then who shall it go to? The eldest? Thats not very fair is it, and that comes to another issue where only males get to carry their family name after they have been married...

I am refusing to inherit my grandparents house because my grandad wanted the house to stay within the family so if I do not have a male child, though I can stay in that house until I die, after I pass away it will be given to my brother's male child (if he has any) I think my parents aren't very happy when I objected to that...haha...I don't care if that house is more than a million dollars, because I am confident that within 5 years [from the day I start to work] I can get a house like that.
If you lend anyone money, and if you do care about the relationship between you, do not expect to get it back. If you do want to get it back, then you must be prepared to forfeit this relationship. It may not make any sense to you now, but I hope you will keep this in mind.

Aaron

P.S A lot of beliefs concerning money are false. If you do want to make a lot of it you have to stop your negative beliefs like 'Money is hard to earn' and you must start to behave that you do have a lot of it (for eg. buy things of the best quality or value, not the cheapest)

Intro to Your Subconscious Mind

Dear Friends,

Today I am going to give you an introduction to the powers of your sub-conscious mind, as well as how to use its powers (and yes, it has the powers of God...blasphemy? up to you to decide)

A few days ago I stumbled upon the classic by Dr Joseph Murphy, 'The Power of Your Sub-Conscious Mind' (but the one I'm reading is the revised version by Dr. Ian McMahan.) It does in detail tell you how to use your subconscious mind the get healing, wealth, sleep, good relationships, happiness, abundance, everything you want basically. (Not everything from this email is from this book)

Your mind has 2 parts, the conscious one (the one you use to think or read this) and the subconscious mind (the one that controls your heart beat etc.) Now, your mind is different from your brain. Scientists now think that your brain acts as a receiver. what do I mean?

Take the case of a university student with a degree in Maths had an IQ of 126 (thats high). However when he went for a CAT scan they realised that that he had virtually no brain at all. He suffered from a condition where there was fluid in his head taking the place of his brain. He only had less than 10% of brain matter which normal people like us have. And that wasn't too uncommon as there were cases like that.

Read more at: http://www.mindpowernews.com/BrainReallyNecessary.htm

Actually to tell you the truth I am a bit confused about the 'mind' and the 'brain' as its getting very messy here. Nevertheless, lets continue on.

So the conscious mind acts a filter to the subconscious mind. The subconsious mind doesn't think or decide if the thoughts are good, it justs listen to the conscious mind. Its like a garden bed, where thoughts (or seeds) are planted into it by the subconsious mind. So, whatever plants (events or external circumstances in your life), good or bad just grows.

Therefore, don't go blaming other people for your life now. Its the results of your thoughts. You are what you think.

Now lets go to the power of the subconscious mind. It is extremely powerful. It can leave your body to find the answers it needs. It is the part of you that connects you to God (we are all God in that sense). That is how psychic people get their powers. It stores every single memory you have. Remember how come people seem to get healing from Jesus or healing shrines?

When you know how to use your subconscious mind to the fullest, you can obtain amazing powers.

'Jesus saith unto them, Believe that ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea Lord. Then he touched their eyes, saying, ACCORDING TO YOUR FAITH BE IT UNTO YOU (no Jesus didn't shout, just to place emphasis) And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, see that no man know it'

Jesus didn't really heal them. They did. It was according to their faith. That is why there are so many miracle healings around the world. You can HEAL yourself if you need to. Jesus told them not to tell anyone else because if they did, they might try to rationalise and then they would lose faith and might end up worse than before.

And so you see the power of these healings? That is why Jesus usually had physical contact or shouted loudly (to make their faith increase) rather then silently healing them. Of course I believe that he had some Godly powers to a certain extent, and was more powerful then the normal man.

We use many methods to access our subconscious mind (eg. hypnotherapy [I am learning hypnosis :], meditation and so on). We must be in a relaxed state of mind (There are 4, beta, alpha, theta and delta, ALPHA is probably the most efficient for this)

Techniques like visualisation (do some relaxation exercises then build a mental picture of your desired outcome) or repeating affirmations (eg. Everyday, in every way, I am getting better and better or My body can heal itself and all its cells are healthy). Best if you do it when you are going to sleep (Alpha brainwaves) or meditating. Or if you want to learn and develop psychic powers you can too do so at the Alpha brainwave state (when you are meditating)

It can be used for anything, not only health, but everything else.

I hope that this email may have sparked an interest in learning more about your subconscious mind...

Aaron

P.S The subconscious mind is only a small part of God and doesn't go against God. That means if a person is really fated to die whatever you do might be of little use. But of course, we must have faith in our abilities...

What is Real?

Subject : What is Real?

Dear Friends,

As we have been led to believe, this world seems the only world to us. When I spoke of this world, what were your feelings that came to your mind? Did you feel a complex and difficult world, where you have to struggle to succeed? Or did you feel that you are lost in this dark world, where no one understands?

Or did you visualise a world full of friends, full of joy, and you can't wait for tomorrow as you go to sleep?

From young, we have been 'sub-consciously' taught that life is a struggle. From your parents complaining as they come home from work how busy they are, as you complete primary school your parents urge you to put in your best and work harder, because everyone else is doing the same. You go for extra tuitions, maths, chinese etc. You spend your weekends doing homework.

When you got to Secondary school, things seem to have taken a more serious and difficult path. You come back late in the evening, after a hard day at school, then you have your dinner and take a shower, and its late, 8 or 9 maybe? Some of you sleep now, then wake up later to do your homework, but most of you stay up till 12 to do it. I have a friend who sleeps and then wakes up at 3, 4 am to do her projects.

Contrary to popular belief, what I have learnt is totally different from what I have been taught. In school, we are taught about the heavens, the earth, plants, animals, yet everything is taught except how to live your life. Living your life isn't just about having goals and achieving them, you must know why you choose these goals. Why do you want to do well in school? Is that really your goal or having a fufilling and contented life is?

Right now, maybe only your grandparents can tell you how to live life well...But hey, my grandparents died when I was young. Yet I learnt all of these things. I am usually not afraid of what the future has in store for me, (except for sometimes when a small voice whispers some thoughts that contain self-doubt) because I know what I am here for. So I wouldn't die before I finish my purpose (so that gets rid of death for a while) and I try not to worry about these things because the future does not really exist.

John Harricharan often replies to questions about his books, 'What is real?'

This is a very thought provoking question. Because if you set your sights on only this life, what happens if this life was only a preparation for the next, like a briefing before a mission? What happens if you take this life so seriously and when you think you have failed in this life, you commit suicide or become depressed? And then when you go to your next life, you say, 'Oops.' Because you are not prepared enough?

What if you are welcome to stay in your dreams forever, not waking up? You can have anything you want in those dreams...What will you do? If you stay for 100 years in your dream, can you ask yourself,

"What is real?"

Life has to have troubles

From : Aaron Chia

Hope is like a road in the country; there wasn't ever a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.

-Lin Yutang

This quote kinda describes Singapore right? We weren't even sure we could make it alone as a country...imagine your country (a small island) suddenly 'kicked out' of a merger and you find your Prime Minister (or President) crying on TV and saying "All my life I believed...." in 1965. And yet, against all odds, today, we are one of S.E Asia's most advanced countries.

Dear Friends,

Today is National Day, and I am glad to have here Matt Zavadil, PhD in life experience of http://www.achieving-life-abundance.com joining our email list. He is interested in abundance in all areas of life, and finding inner peace (thats one of my most important goals too :) His website is very interesting and if you do have time you can go there.

I was thinking of sharing a story today, but I can't seem to find it (believe me, searching thru hundreds of emails if you don't delete them is difficult)

Anyway then, I will try to tell you about the moral of the story. Those troubled may find solace from it.

It is simply that, we cannot truly understand what is happiness, joy and peace without knowing what is sadness, despair and trouble. If you have only seen the light, then how can you imagine darkness? You wouldn't even know what it is like!

We can only learn the appreciate the good things when the bad things come. Life isn't really about a struggle. its about enduring the bad things and appreciating the good times. Of course, according to the Law of Attraction if you see it as a struggle more bad things will then happen.

Yestersay I typed poems from a book called 'A Merry Heart'. It rains and pours, but have you ever seen a storm that doesn't pass? And stuff like that. Life does have happy times and good times. There will be times when we have a place to slow down and relax, other times we have to keep going if we don't want to get swept away by the current. With metre that you go, you can only become stronger.

We would get bored if we dont have troubles...its like a bicycle rusts when you don't use it. God never gives you more than you can handle...

A good example of what life is would be this imaginary story.

We were all gods once but we were bored. So, we decided to play a game, in which we set our own rules. Once we started the game we would forget that we have our magical powers, and that we were gods. We would put reminders (troubles) to help us realise our powers and whoever who remembers our true selves first would win the game.

How did you like that?

A different Perspective

Dear Friends,

I was thinking of something else to write besides our purpose in life (getting a tad boring). I went down to the garden, but I still couldn't think of anything to write. It was only when I read someone's blog that I got an idea.

We have just finished the school's national day parade...And I was very bored and I wanted to get it over with as soon as possible. I really hoped that it would rain, so that will teach them not to hold so many rehearsals (like putting all the eggs in one basket), but after all, I guess they just wanted to put up a good show. But to me, these things are really meaningless...

I thought a good idea would be to sit in a circle with any of our friends, think of what we want Singapore to be like and to reflect on Singapore's past while appreciating Singapore's present. We should write it on a piece of paper and burn it in a fire and do a ceremonial dance all together while hoping our wishes come true instead of showing segregation like dividing us into our CCA groups. Of course, that would be cool except for the air and noise pollution.

Ah, as I wrote that it gave me another idea but we shall continue with the first one.

As I was saying I went to a blog, and read

"The school had a long day in school today. We had the run-through of NDP rehearsal and although a lot of waiting here and there,I feel that everything is worth it.The uniform groups look smart, especially when the cadets removed their hats and put it on again."

I thought the whole rehearsal yesterday was a waste of my time (in fact it wasted more than 2 hours of my life). And I was shocked when I read this perspective. I also thought that the uniform groups had silly looking hats, were too strict and followed stupid traditions (like no one goes home earlier than the rest of the CCA groups, must do push-ups even though everything is perfect and had a terrible hierachal order)

(But today I understood the hierachal order [i.e. having ranks like coporal, lance coporal, cadet etc.] Because the group is so big and if there wasn't an order there'd be a revolt. How did I learn this? Because thats whats happening in my CCA now. This is due to unco-operative and very immature people who do not see the big picture, but rather short-term pleasures.)

Anyway back to the story. So when I read it, I was rather surprised. Sure, I did have different opinions on what should be done, but if I had looked at it that way, maybe the afternoon would be much more bearable and perhaps even a little enjoyable. Well, after all, when we look back next time, our days of youth should be the happiest...(of course, looking at Singapore today...)

PART II - Segregation

Many people criticised people for drawing up the Raffles Town Plan which seperated the races. However, if you would consider and look at it now, everyday we face segregation. We are put into different classes because of our marks. We are segregated as CCA groups (today). We compete as schools. We are segregated because some are rich while others are poor. We are segregated because of our languages, our races. We even classify ourselves as mammals. But we must see ourselves truly as what we are. A part of the Universe, Energy. We are all energy if you look deeply enough. Its just that the pattern of Energy is different.

We have been so used to this that its actually embedded in our sub-consciousness and we don't even need to truly think before chasing people out of our classrooms because they are of a different class. Or discriminating against different races. And I was truly surprised last year when I read on the forum that most of you felt more comfortable with friends of your own races. It doesn't really matter to me. (As I mentioned before, I was doing groupwork with my Indian classmates last time and even though I was the only Chinese in a house full of Indians it didn't occur to me to feel strange.)

However, now that I have brought this up, this time, you should remember.

The Great Awakening--Or is it a cycle?

After a tiring (and boring) day of rehearsals for the National Day Parade, and as I was going home, I finalised my purpose here on Earth. It was to lead the Great Awakening. More and more people were falling into the trap and snares of the unimportant parts of daily life, and yet more and more people were being enlightened each day. As I try to spread the message, I find that my emails have little impact on many, and I begin to find more and more depressing people.

Then I realised that the Great Awakening was a cycle. In whatever generation we live in, a few will arise and lead, trying to tell people about living life as it truly was. I was rather frustrated that things weren't going very well, people still seemed as troubled as ever. So I talked to Jesus. I asked him, 'Were you ever discouraged about the people you were trying to reach out to.'

Jesus replied, 'Many times, yes. I feel that I have failed them.'

'Why?'

'Those that were given the knowledge were given the greatest burden. Look at my disciples. Even after spending years with me, I still had one who denied me (Peter), one who doubted me (Thomas) and one who betrayed me (Judas). All of them were with me, and I taught them so many things, yet, see what happened?'

'But they saw you in the end, didn't they?'

'Well, yes those who were supposed to see me did. Not everyone got the chance though. I didn't have much time left in the world then.'

'Did you really die for us?'

'In a way, yes. I died so that my knowlege could be passed on to help you. I 'knew' I would die anyway, but, like you, I am not afraid about going out with my knowledge, defying and ignoring those who were trying to stop me.'

That was basically the end of that conversation. I see more and more 'lost' people, like my senior. He is a very unfortunate case. Unhappy because he could not get a handphone. Sparing no thought for a life of an ant. Not having the ability to accept himself (worrying he's too short, not the right size etc.)

My good friend I mentioned...remembering past wrongs, or seeing the world as a competitive one where we have to step on others to get up. And again this is because of how he was brought up, with so many tuition sessions that I think I would be crazy if I were him.

So we should be thankful for our lives, though we may not feel very happy about these times. There's always something to be grateful for. I don't have to work too hard for good exam results, only those people who do not know what to do with their lives need to get good results, it makes them temporarily contented. But I must stress that this is only temporary, imagine if there were no exams, I would wonder what these people would do with their lives?

I finally found what I was suppose to do in life, though I do not know specifically what job is the best for accomplishing that purpose. I'll just continue to do my work, and the details will come sooner or later.

If you are doing what you like, then, you will generally enjoy work, instead of thinking of try to get through it.

Life is meant to be enjoyed, however, there will be times when challenges abound, and you only grow if they are there. Remember, God is only a telephone (prayer) away, if there's anything you may need, of course. Everything will fall into place once you've started working towards your goal or purpose.

As John Harricharan said, Once the student is ready, the teacher appears. And I have found mine, as Mitch Albom found Morrie (as in Tuesdays with Morrie, Morrie was Mitch's professor, and they formed a special bond. After Mitch left the university, they did not keep in contact. Then when Morrie was dying, Mitch saw him on TV and 'found' him again. Then they met every Tuesday until Morrie died, and talked about Life in general)

John Harricharan himself was the teacher of Kacper Postawski, an enlightened man (www.iamnow.com) and of many others.

Aaron

P.S The exams are over, so don't get too sad over the results, or too HAPPY either. Learn to detach, and everything will be peaceful.

Singapore...Sigh....

From : Aaron Chia
Sent : Friday, July 21, 2006 10:53 PM

In this particular email, I want to discuss why I believe Singapore is headed into a downward spiral. In fact, this is such a controversial and important topic, that, I must let other friends hear this too [OTHERS: I usually send emails to them]

We can see how things are run here. A leader makes decisions, and the group follows blindly. The problem is, NO ONE WANTS TO THINK. Everyone is too lazy, and let the leader make decisions. Twice in our groupwork, everyone followed my instructions and no one objected. It was always at the end when I found out we made a few mistakes and no one pointed it out.

Even in schools, I believe that the school should let the students play a part. Naturally, some people can become councillors by volunteering, however, I think that 75% of the council should be voted in by students, and students should get to vote for the Head.

If you had followed the news, Singapore is the least happy country in Asia. Not surprising really. Our generation has been lost. Being indoctrinated by the culture, we lost track of important things. We do not appreciate the plants in our school, we destroy them. People poison the fish in our school. On our wishlists, come MP3 players, materialistic things, good grades.

Previous generations studied for knowledge, we study for grades. Ask anybody why they study, they tell you its because they want to get a good job and earn a lot of money. Is money really that important? Is following the trend really important? Everyone wants to show off the latest toys they've got. Toys are for playing with friends. At least some people get that.

The rich, they've got everything. When I was in the gifted stream, out of 20 people, only 3 lived in HDB flats. The rich, they've got an advantage. Tuition, books, exposure, everything. They've got parents who have experience. The middle class? They do not aim high. They are happy if they get an ordinary job.

Hey, nothing wrong with that, if you are truly happy, then by all means, go ahead. At least you will be much happier than the rich. Do you really think that Presidents and Prime Ministers are really happy? Do you think they can experience simple pleasures like going for a walk in the park or attending carnivals with their family without bodyguards following? One rich person once told my father, that he would give up everything to be just like him, an university professor. He told my dad that he had a lot of troubles...

Singaporeans follow trends. They forget to think. Some of them read inspirational books and stay enlightened for a while. Then, when stress comes, it stops them cold. They forget everything. Why do you think we are one of the worse cities in terms of courtesy? People rush into trains without waiting for people to get out? Are you one of them?

One of the ministers told my father when my father raised the point that we should let Singaporeans think. The minister said, "Do you really think that we are capable? No, I tell you. Our ancestors could not make a living in their own country, and they were failures, so they left for Singapore. There are only a few capable people trying to run things here. Leave everything to them."

The government had done a marvellous job. They raised the economy so well that we are very advanced in terms of technology. But in ways of thinking? We are still far behind the West in some ways. At this rate, we will be an economically advanced country but a very 'empty' country.

I hope this have at least made you think. I invested half an hour of my life in this. At this point, Jianwei is trying to persuade me to watch a video. At least its music, one of the simple pleasures in life.

A question regarding E.S.P

THIS IS AN EMAIL I SENT TO A GOOD FRIEND WHO ASKED ME ABOUT PSYCHICS (E.S.P)

From : Aaron Chia
Sent : Saturday, August 5, 2006 5:08 PM
Subject : RE: Hey just a question :)

Hi P :)

Yes, I believe in the paranormal (psychic).

The Jehovah Witness are a group of people who differ from the Christian Protestants. Christians believe that psychics have a demon in them because the only mention of psychics in the bible is when a slave girl was able to tell the future. However Paul came along and saw that she had a demon which was giving her these powers. So Paul exorcised the demon and the slave's master got angry because she lost her power to predict the future.

But I do not think that psychics have demons in them. Whether or not you are a Christian, you should have an open mind. We all have psychic powers whether you know it or not. Its just that some of us are naturals, and the others will have to practise a lot to develop their powers.

Have you ever had a glimpse of the future or when you thought of a friend you found that the friend was trying to contact you in one way or another?

There is a lot of info about the paranormal on the internet, and how to develop your psychic powers. If you have time and are very interested, you should practise daily and you will develop your psychic powers. All of us have different psychic ability. Like some can tell the future (precognition) and some can see read minds (telepathy).

It'll take a while, but if you do decide to develop your psyhic powers do inform me of your progress :)

Oh and yes, some psychics do help others and earn money (its their job) like the tell you whats wrong with your life or they work with the police to track people.

Nice to hear that you have been practising your clarinet! Its always nice to play a musical instrument. ;]

If you have any other questions please feel free to contact me! ;P

Aaron

P.S In case you are curious, people who study the paranormal are parapsychologists.

P.P.S I will add you to my email list, which is a group of people I send emails to about the lessons I learnt [about life] that day.

Have you been thinking lately?

Subject : Thinking For Yourself

Dear Friends,

I want to remind you to do something that you may not always have done in situations. Thinking for yourself.

I may not have made my stand clear in other emails. Its not that I am against ankle-socks and things like that, but its rather against wearing them without thinking. Why do you wear them? Why do we want to get good marks? The 'why' question is the one which will lead you to enlightenment, if not a more fulfilled life.

For example, Why do you want to get good marks. Because I want to get a good job. Why do you want a good job? Because I want the money. Why do you want the money? So that I wouldn't starve. So thats what you really want, financial security. And usually, there are many other ways to get it.

It may sound offending to you, but I believe many of us do things without thinking. Someone told me that wearing socks normally was not 'original'. I told her it was the 'original' way. Besides, if you are wearing ankle socks, you are still following others. So its all the same. But it all boils down to what is important to you. I value comfort, and I'm lazy, so I don't like to take the time to fold my socks. It all depends on what you want.

We also must question, and have an open mind. Someone criticised me because I told him the source of my knowlege was the internet. He said that the info on the internet is false. Well, in some ways it is, but then again, what you read in your history textbook probably is too. History just depends on the opinions on others. Like how my friends thought the British were cruel and indifferent and how my history teacher thinks the British helped Singapore. Even though they both study the same source.

I read about a person who always got her opinions from her newspaper. She can argue her case very well, but always absolutely in line with her newspaper's views.

We all want to be accepted and belong to a group. However you do need to have your opinions. The culture does silly things. Like, buy this handphone and you'll be cool. Buy this pair of jeans and you'll look sexy. Having money means you are happy.

Learn to be different, know all the things that people say are good may not be. Learn to think for yourself, like the early part of your life, when you chose what you like, ignorant of fashion, ignoring your dad or mum trying to make choices for you (though I did regret my choices sometimes, but I learnt from it).

Aaron

Some of things I learnt are from: The rules of life & Tuesdays with Morrie. They are bestseller and nice books, and many people have read them, though I do not see the difference [I think people just read them, make a resolution and forget about it a few days later]. People still stand in front of the door of the MRT train before the people inside have gotten out. Are you one of them?

Pressure we face

Dear Friends,

We can finally start to relax now, most of our exams are over :) [and people are going around a bit crazy]

And I finally can take more time to do what I Love, writing emails about Life. I hope that you have not been too offended by the previous email, cause I felt that was what God wanted me to do because of the misconstruction of him/her we have today.

Today as I was going to my Jap class, I needed to top-up my card. So I was just behind this girl who just walked in front of me a split second ago. My train (Dr. P.N- We take the MRT train to and fro, it goes around S'pore) was coming in a minute and I really hoped that she would just hurry up. But guess what, because she put her sticker on her picture of the ez link (To Dr. P.M.--Its kind of an Identification Card we secondary students get), and the man refused to top up her card and she took some time before finally removing the sticker. And yea, my train left.

I was just hopping mad but I told myself, it was fate that the train would go and I would just take another one.

The culture of the Singapore society is this currently. We are always terribly embarrassed and always afraid of people laughing at us (because some stupid people always do, more later). We are embarrassed by the badly taken picture on the ez link, we are embarrassed about our weight (always too light--thats for me, or too heavy), we are embarrassed because of our names (I once in Pri. sch felt embarrassed about the Kah Hin part, because it was in dialect). We are embarrassed about our marks when we don't do well.

You get the picture here. We live in a society with so much pressure (that we must be fit and of a certain weight, we must get a certain mark, we must wear ankle socks otherwise its wrong or we are weird) But the fact is that nothing is wrong! Getting a poor mark for your test is OK. Being too heavy or too light, its OK. ACCEPT YOURSELF. I wouldn't trade my body, my name, for anything else! I think its unique. Even with my body having aches or pains sometimes. Its what makes me me. And the fact is that, all these are not important things. As Buddha said, Nothing is eternal except change. Be glad about your weight now, it might get worse in the future [I'm joking :]

Don't let parents stop you from doing what you want [and I'm NOT talking about playing computer games here]

And the good thing is, you can do something about it. Stop calling the poor kid in your class fat. Stop calling the guy who is left out a weirdo. WORK TOGETHER.

I would like to highlight an event which happened last time. Early this year we were forced to attend a workshop by Dr. Ernest Wong. I missed most of his workshop that day (I guess I was lucky :). He taught me a lesson on unity, something I would never forget.

You see, he was making fun of people. In fact, a lot of people did not like him. YET THEY STILL LAUGHED AT THEIR FELLOW SCHOOLMATES BEING TEASED. Then they were afraid of being called up by him and getting teased by him. How silly. If they did not laugh at others, then they would not need to be afraid of being teased. Its that simple. His jokes will lose their power if you do not laugh at them.

So we must learn the lesson of unity. If we are all against him, there is nothing he can do.

So thats all for today, and enjoy your weekend break! You have deserved it.

Aaron

P.S Let me share a psychological principal. From the book of 'Blink' I learnt that we tend to be biased against some musicians. I remember when the gu zheng people were playing today, we did not appreciate their music. Why? Because they weren't wearing their costumes. You see, you enjoy a piece of music also using your SENSE OF SIGHT. Its not about hearing, its also about senses.

P.P.S Do take some time to enjoy nature this weekend. Too many Singaporeans do not know nature. Singapore is a concrete jungle already, and too many Singaporeans spend time being cooped up inside our flats. Go for a walk. Like I wake up early every Sat and Sunday to watch the Sun rise, and then I just sit in my garden doing nothing.

Singaporean Teens want to Migrate???

The topic I am writing about today is about a survey that was done not too ago. It surveyed teens from many Asian countries, including China, India, Singapore etc. It was very (or rather not too, if you have been noticing) surprising to the adults that 53% of the teens in Singapore wanted to emigrate (to Australia and the U.S.A) I have been very lucky to experience life in another country (New Zealand) for a few months this year. I have been in their school, and I know what kind of life they have. It was a very easy and peaceful life. In NZ, we start school at 8:45 p.m. and end at 3:15 p.m. (not to mention lunch break and recess). In Singapore, we start school at 7:30 and end at 2 (but we have extra activities that can end at 5-6:30) The syallabus there is very easy, and the tests are too.

I did not really enjoy some of my time there, because I missed all of you. I have encountered a couple of racist remarks. A student said one of the reasons why S'pore teens wanted to leave was because we place so much emphasis on marks and materialism (think: billabong), that we sometimes lose track of what we want to do in life, or our dreams. Others said that it was too boring in Singapore, too much stability and peace. When my dad's NZ friends came over, they said Singapore was exciting and there was so much to do. I remember that shops close at 5 in NZ. However, I still liked the general life in NZ better. Singapore seems too predictable. Very few people go to university in NZ, yet they are very contented people (not like us, the least happy people in Asia)

The question I want to ask though is, what dreams!? I asked my friends, what do you want to do in life? Ans: Dunno. Anything also can.
So I asked, what do you do in your free time. They replied, "Study, or play computer games".
When I asked my NZ friend what he wanted to be, he replied, "Botanist, Geologist or zoologist. Maybe an accountant or tour guide." Sure, our immediate thoughts as Singaporeans will be, How much do they earn? Tour guides may or may not earn much, but travelling is definitely interesting.

I doubt they earn much, but they are really interesting jobs. If you like rocks, study Geology. If you like animals, zoology. As simple as that! The main difference is, the students in NZ are exposed to many many different things. Their lessons are interesting and light. Ours? Full of cramming, full of facts, until we are so dulled that we do not know what we want to do. I have my hobby (this is my hobby), or I like to collect interesting articles (artefacts, not written articles) when I travel. Hobbies take us out of our daily, boring, routine life. Even if its reading.

My best friend want to be a scientist. That is cool, because at least he has a goal to work towards. I want to be a mental scientist. At least thats something I can work towards (I am now :) I heard that someone wants to be a pastor. Pastors don't earn much, and thats why I'm glad that this person does not care about money. Some of my friends want to be policemen, architects, teachers, engineers. I am happy that they have a goal, but I think that being a zoologist or botanist is more fun (haha, thats just my opinion). Ask your mum and your dad tonight, are they happy with their jobs? Is that their dream job? Good for you if they are! I think my dad likes his job too much (he leaves with us, and comes back at 7)

P.S. Life in NZ would be the best, if only all of you were there! And, running away (emigrating) is not the solution. We have to create our own sub-cultures in this culture.
And also, you do need to make sacrifices for what you want to achieve and do. For example, I take so much time to write this that I sleep at 12 mn (and now getting to 12:30 am) and I know you all also sleep late, but its just that I can sleep much earlier if I don't. And those enlightened ones among you may notice, We are not created to serve God. Its the opposite. God's powers are for us to use. I'll write about why I was a Christian for some years, and now why I am not (and once I understood, these things started pouring into my life.) But this is a sensitive issue, religion.

Aaron

The Law of Reciprocation

My parents aren't great donors. I am not very pleased to say that. Though my dad gives free talks time to time. We received a pamplet asking for donations together with our bills today (our water bill increased 3X and our electricity 2X ). I asked my mum to give $5 (they asked for that amount), but she replied that why should she give when she hasn't even paid our bills yet. I told her simply, that our bills will take care of themselves if we give.

The law of reciprocation is simply, we get (more back than) what we give! Singaporeans are generally self-centred. Again, maybe thats why they aren't very happy. We may donate a few dollars but we are not really putting our thoughts into it. We probably do that to get rid of the guilt and just to chase that pestering guy away.

Yesterday on my way to the MOE language centre, I saw a women selling tissues. I did not know why, but I felt compelled to buy 5 packets (and I still do not know what to do with them, too many packets) When I returned home from my Jap classes, I checked my email and saw that Dr Prem Nath had given me the link even though the payment hasn't arrived yet. I wonder if that was something to do with the Law.

I give my time to write this, because, No.1, I hope that it would have an affect on you, to change your life for the better. No.2, It helps me to remember my ideas and thoughts better. If I hear any exam hints from the teacher, I would pass them on to my friends in 2G. So I wasn't very happy to hear one of my friends saying that we should not tell any more people if I hear of more hints. He has grown into the self-centred people I hope I would never hear of. He says that life is harsh, and we better kill the others before the others kill us (that may only happen in Halo). I think his parents are responsible for this. They placed too much emphasis on exam results. He has his days full of tuition (everyday after school, and 2-4 classes each day during the weekend).

You see, the exam results are not so important. Its how you live your life. I wonder how come many people do not see that...I rather be a shopkeeper and live a rather easy life then become a CEO and live a life full of stress. But thats what so many people are aiming for. And they do not know why (a hint, its got to do with our culture).

I hope this have awakened some dormant part of your brain. Or at least, have given you a new perspective in your life.

Aaron

Animals And Us

This is a sample email that I send to a few of my friends on my email list regularly. The emails are about life, and the important lessons I learn. Alternatively, you can visit my collection of emails. The address is at the bottom of the page. I sent this to 2 groups of people and you either fall in: 1) My close friend circle 2) People whom I think this will benefit

I would also like to thank Dr. Prem Nath Gupta (from the DynamicBrain Foundation) for joining my email list, I am honoured to have him here :)

I have written to many authors of e-books of manifestation, metaphysics and so on, but only Dr Prem Nath was very open to my ideas and I am very glad to be able to learn from him. For example, I wrote an email to one of the authors of a new e-book but on hearing that I could not purchase his e-book, he did not reply, unlike Dr Prem Nath, who sent me the link to his e-book even before receiving his payment!

DISCLAIMER: This is after all what I think and may not make sense to you, especially if you are a Christian or Creationist. So those of you who have a very strong Christian faith and do not like what you are reading, please delete it. I am not exactly sure that everything written in this email is scientifically accurate, but it just makes sense to me. These are just inferences (though some of the info are from trusted sources)

Dear Friends,

I am really excited about writing this email! I was thinking about the day's events when I was walking home and I realised many things, ideas was just flowing! This interesting email is about our behaviour. It will cover sub-topics like the difference between the attraction of males and females, why there is no such thing as the Devil or Sin, why we do things like wear ankle-socks or spike our hair. I hope that you will enjoy it!

First we will need an intro. Now, we know that we have evolved from ape-like creatures who roamed Africa when they were seperated into 2 groups and the one we came from were forced to walk on their hind legs (the other group became monkeys :) We were once animals, and we still have many animal instincts. To give you an example, we like to hang out in groups [for protection, eg. wolves]. You may not realise it, but many of the things you do is because of Animal Instinct. The things that we have thought and learnt, I will give it a name, and I call it God-like.

To give another example which you may already know, is the difference between the attraction of the male and female. What do boys look for in girls. We generally like a girl because of her looks. That is very simple. We may tell you that we do look for character, but that is usually a lie. In this case, the Animal Instinct wins the God-like. But the reason is why. Girls, or females best give birth when they are below 40 years of age. But males, we can father a baby even if we are 50 years old! So here, boys are attracted to a girl's looks, because looks has a link with youthfulness (that is why in many cultures a 30 year old male can marry a girl half his age). I can verify that this is true, because I am a male. However do remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It depends. What we may view as ugly people may view as beautiful.

But what I learn about how girls are attracted to boys is different. Girls do not like a boy because of his looks. Its more of his behaviour, or his standing in society. As I have already said, males can father babies at a later age. But to whether the child survives or not it depends on his father, how powerful he is in Society! That is why many chiefs and kings can have so many concubines. (I do not know if this is true, because I'm not female, but, can anyone of you girls verify it please?)

You boys may argue that girls may like good-looking actors, but for example, they usually like a particular actor because he gives off charm and is dependable (usually the main character).

And so you learn here why you like a particular person.

Want to continue? Read on.

Animals are very self-centred. They are concerned only about their survival, because if they can survive means that they are fit, and if they are fit then the entire species can thrive. This is the part where I get to, there is no such thing as SIN. There is just God-likeness and Animal-likeness. When some people murder, they usually do it because they are threatened. Same as animals (they attack each other). When I was in NZ there were 2 boys fighting over a girl (like animals) and my Cambodian friend told me they do the same in Cambodia except they shoot each other with guns. No wonder there was a policeman in every school. The strongest guy gets the girl (in animal sense). When animals steal (food), they do it to survive. We've still got the 'stealing' instinct but we do it for the thrill now.

It was all like this in the animal world. But then one scientist found that our one of our early ancestor had a broken pelvis, and yet managed to survive for a few years! This was only possible if someone feeds her, and that was our first step in God-likeness. We learnt to help each other and be kind. And here we are today :)

We intimidate (boys usually, but there is now a beginning in the reversal in roles) other boys because we fight to be the Alpha-Male (like the wolves, yes) All the 'bad' things we do, we can trace them back to our animal roots. We do have a tendency to be cruel, and thats for everyone, even though we try our best to be God-like. That is why there is no such thing as BAD or EVIL or SIN. Geddit!?

Now I would like to talk about why we wear ankle socks and such things. There are basically 2 reasons for this. One, we want to fit into society. Two, we want to make ourselves look good and different. (like peacocks, but now we can't change colour anymore so we just basically change our clothing to make up for this). Anyone who doesn't follow the rules of a group is ostracised and deemed as weird. Its like animals, some of them do get kicked out of a group. We feel strange if we are not with our group of friends, imagine you are a wolf and you run into another pack of wolves (good luck).

The Moral of this email is, as we humans became more civilised we became more and more like God (in the Universal Sense, God is everywhere, in everything and in Us), we learnt different things. The people who were most advanced for a long time were the clerics (religious people). In every culture, priests and the church was the most powerful (think of the church as a big group of people [animal instinct to be in a group] who also wants to be like God) The main thing is, the World has changed and we just can't keep acting as animals anymore. The world is awakening, so please also wake up.

So if we see some people like gangsters or like some people in our school who like to spike their hair, or wear ankle socks and behave in a intimidating and domineering way just think of them next time as giant peacocks walking around, primitive and still haven't learnt the lessons of evolution. Good luck if you try to explain to them why they behave like this (like trying to explain to a peacock why he should not try to show off) prepare to get pecked (or beaten up, in this case).

If you like emails about enlightenment, please visit the collection online at http://emailsfrmaaron.blogspot.com or drop me a line to join my email list. Read about why my dad was posted to a lousy Secondary School but he still became a professor, and many others, like How to Get What You Want [Law of Attraction].

Your friend,

Aaron

P.S When we became more civilised and God-like, I think we began to have a purpose in life. What you want to do in life. Life became more than just surviving and reproducing (though some it is a purpose for some to become a mum). So, do not get too involved in trying to survive (by studying hard and earning lots of money but do not know what to do in life). Strike a balance.

Never say DIE: A Professor's Story

Hi guys (and a girl ;)

I was thinking of what to write today, and I got an idea when my dad and my sis were talking about PSLE results in the car.

My dad's a professor, and I guess all of you know it, cos I couldn't resist revealing it at that time (I had limited intelligence before then, even if it was only 6 months ago :) I may have told you this story before, I do not remember, but here it goes.

My dad was the youngest and one of 2 boys of a family. He was born left-handed, (and they say left-handed people have a higher IQ, but die earlier) and was the most intelligent of the family. He caught bats and studied them (when he was young), hatched mynahs and taught them a few words and so on.

He was one of the top in his primary school, and did well when he sat for his prelims. Then came the PSLE. Last time, the PSLE cert only showed if you passed or failed. He was aiming to get into RI. He took the test, thought he did quite well. Then came the shocking news, he wasn't given the school of his choice. He was sent to Upper Thomson, one of the lousy neighbourhood schools. He was one of the 2 in his top class to not get his school of choice.

His whole family was shocked, and his father [my grandad who died before I was born, I heard he was a great man, more on him next time] desperately tried to get him to a good school, but only managed to get a place in a-dunno-what monks hill sec sch. My dad said he didn't want to be a monk [he's joking i guess, great exaggerator, that guy] so he went to Upper Thomson. I think my grandad must be thinking, "poor son, his future is ruined".

Anyway, he REFUSED to believe that he did badly. He thought it was a mistake [and I think its because of his terrible handwriting, he's left handed remember?] and REFUSED to give up. I guess that he wasn't the first at Sec 1 [so maybe it was a mistake, don't let him hear that :], but he did so well in Science he managed to go to university [where he met my mom, who always lent him her notes that she copied, but that's another story] and he clinched a PhD in Biology, and became a Professor, inventing the glowing orchid, resveratrol cream [miracle skin cream, I would say] etc. If he had given up, thinking, "maybe I am not destined to become a professor..." I wouldn't be here.

Maybe if he had not gone to Upper Thomson, he would have not become a Professor. His father wanted him to be a medical doctor, but he did not want to. [one of the next emails, following your dreams]. So perhaps it wasn't a mistake after all. But the thing was that, he never gave up and finally realised his dream. Perhaps you may have failed once, but the failure could be a hidden stepping stone!

And about me? I am pursuing a different path in life. From the Gifted Stream, I opted out and went to a neighbourhood school [and I don't think my parents are very happy about that, they think I'm lazy, but they don't see that I spend my free time on the mental sciences, metaphysics, manifestation, philosophy, meditation because that is my DREAM to become an expert on those ;) But again, more on that later! Got our Common Tests tomorrow. Thats for today, and please learn the moral of the Story. Never say Die.

Cheers and well wishes,
Aaron

P.S Oh yes, I am collecting all these emails on a blog. Its not one of course, just think of it as a library of Aaron's emails!
