Life has to have troubles

Hope is like a road in the country; there wasn't ever a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.

-Lin Yutang

This quote kinda describes Singapore right? We weren't even sure we could make it alone as a country...imagine your country (a small island) suddenly 'kicked out' of a merger and you find your Prime Minister (or President) crying on TV and saying "All my life I believed...." in 1965. And yet, against all odds, today, we are one of S.E Asia's most advanced countries.

Dear Friends,

Today is National Day, and I am glad to have here Matt Zavadil, PhD in life experience of http://www.achieving-life-abundance.com joining our email list. He is interested in abundance in all areas of life, and finding inner peace (thats one of my most important goals too :) His website is very interesting and if you do have time you can go there.

I was thinking of sharing a story today, but I can't seem to find it (believe me, searching thru hundreds of emails if you don't delete them is difficult)

Anyway then, I will try to tell you about the moral of the story. Those troubled may find solace from it.

It is simply that, we cannot truly understand what is happiness, joy and peace without knowing what is sadness, despair and trouble. If you have only seen the light, then how can you imagine darkness? You wouldn't even know what it is like!

We can only learn the appreciate the good things when the bad things come. Life isn't really about a struggle. its about enduring the bad things and appreciating the good times. Of course, according to the Law of Attraction if you see it as a struggle more bad things will then happen.

Yestersay I typed poems from a book called 'A Merry Heart'. It rains and pours, but have you ever seen a storm that doesn't pass? And stuff like that. Life does have happy times and good times. There will be times when we have a place to slow down and relax, other times we have to keep going if we don't want to get swept away by the current. With metre that you go, you can only become stronger.

We would get bored if we dont have troubles...its like a bicycle rusts when you don't use it. God never gives you more than you can handle...

A good example of what life is would be this imaginary story.

We were all gods once but we were bored. So, we decided to play a game, in which we set our own rules. Once we started the game we would forget that we have our magical powers, and that we were gods. We would put reminders (troubles) to help us realise our powers and whoever who remembers our true selves first would win the game.

How did you like that?

Aaron
